Design and technology convergence
Convergence Design and technology has improved our
experience with the world around us. Immediately, our daily task will look and
feel very different. We can wake up to find that the fridge has prepared our
breakfast, a drone has sent our letter, and a driver without a driver waiting
to take us to work.

We rely on designers and engineers to imagine the way we
live life. In Australia, these designers and engineers can be found in the
startup business and small and large technology that all competes to global
expansion. However, because the start-up collection in Australia increases, so
do gaps in design and technology skills.
According to Start up Report 2017, more than 25% of the
founders need more guidance and training, with almost 30% recognizing they need
skills in the design of user experience.
However, the skills in the design of user experience are
already in short supply, so how can we imagine the world back with a reduced
talent pool? The CEO of Hyper Island, Johanna Frelin, believes that companies
that overcome the perfection of talent and skill gaps are companies that will
change their future success.
"This is a brand that will remain leading in the game
and get competitive advantage in their respective fields," Johanna said.
Companies like Amazon are at the forefront of innovation
because they invest in long-term growth, and some of this growth invests in
research and design. Some of their projects such as fire phones, drone delivery,
and Amazon Fresh are not immediately profitable, and some may never, but that
is the risk of designers and engineers they are willing to be taken.
Being a nuisance, companies need to rent and train workers
to think far beyond 2018 and decide whatever future they want to make.
Future work
Design and technology have evolved from coders to engine
learning engineers, and from computer programmers to virtual specialists and
augmented reality. Each of these relatively new roles involves elements of
design and technology.
When the profession continues to grow, it is necessary for
business for the future and start training the next designer wave. But, what
kind of wave design and the role of the next technology?
The following is a list of futuristic roles that might be
closer than you think:
1. Drone Experience Engineer
Gavin Kelly, Co-Founder Artifacts, Amazon Commercial Drone
Foretells will make a request for designer service drones. This will call for a
new wave of service designers to understand end customer interactions with
online purchasing experience and drone shipping services.
2. Director of Cybernetic.
Matias Duarte, Vice President of the material design on
Google, believes the Cybernetic director will be responsible for the creative
vision and implementation of autonomous media services. The implementation of
digital design for media platforms may be taken over by artificial smart bots.
This visual design bot needs to be trained by humans - a Cybernetic director -
in a different visual language of the digital brand.
3. Designers of interactions that are realized
Matt Schoenholz, Head of Design in Teague, believes the
interaction designer that is realized will focus on making content for changes
in screen properties. Whether the screen is physical or virtual, the designer
needs to understand the language of the interface pattern and the
touch-oriented touch point and in the space around the user.
4. SIM designer
Rob Girl, Co-Founder Artifacts, Believe SIM Designers need
to collect customer data, behavioral models, and statistical models to designed
simulated people who predict and determine customer behavior in the future.
Before the products are realized, this SIM will help improve customer
understanding and ultimately product design.
Take advantage of what's in front
At Academy XI, we believe companies that invest in their
employees education will be the innovator and disturbances tomorrow. Companies
that improve their staff skills in the user experience and service design or
design of virtual
reality and augmented will benefit both now and in the future.
