7 augmented reality companies to watch
1) Apple
Under team leadership Cook, Apple has shown clear enthusiasm
for augmented reality. At developer conferences around the world 2017, Apple
launched its Arkit. The latest iPhone model (8, 8 plus and x) runs on a strong
and friendly A11 bionic chip. The company has also made a number of significant
acquisitions, gradually building a promising AR association profile. In 2015,
for example, Apple buys Metaoi, a startup that specializes in
Augmented Reality software.
The company is currently rumored to work on a pair of
wireless specifications to coat digital content to the real world. Various
release dates have been suggested but, true formed, Apple has revealed very
little about the product. It seems like they spend time - maybe with the hope
of avoiding the same fate as Google Glass.
2) Microsoft.
Microsoft refers to itself as a 'leader in mixed reality'.
Mixed reality refers to the combined strength of augmented and virtual reality
when deployed in the real world. Hololens's first iteration went on sale in
2015 with a label price of £ 2,719. While prices limit adoption in the consumer
market, the product offers high-quality AR and shows Microsoft's success in
developing technology. Also in 2015, Microsoft released a mixed reality catalog
on the reality platform of the Windows mixture. Users can access mixed reality
content including games, 360 ° videos, social media, and direct events.
The second version of the Hololens announcement, Hololens 2,
is expected in the first quarter of this year. This is likely to be lighter
than its predecessor and will display a special holographic processing unit
embedded with Coprocessor AI. This will allow the headset to visualize data
locally without communicating with the Cloud, accelerating object recognition
and increasing the use of business applications.
3) Niantic.
Niiantic, a Google Spin off, was founded in 2010 to 'enrich
our experience as a human in the real world with augmented reality. The real
world platform company manages communication, security, mapping and functional.
According to Niantic, it is the augmented augmented platform 'scale planet' in
the world. In the summer of 2016, Niantic launches a game that will quickly
become a child poster of Augmented
Reality. The very popular Pokémon was brought in to the mainstream and the
most successful AR game was ever made.
At the end of 2017, Niantic announced that it partnered with
the Warner Interactive entertainment brooch to issue another cult. Harry
Potter: United wizards will be released later this year. Niantic is now valued
at almost $ 4 billion after the C $ 245 series funding round which was closed
earlier this month.
AR Gaming is the economy in the right and popular game
shifting public awareness with technology which in turn makes wider business
adoption more feasible and accessible.
4) Zappar.
Established in 2011, Zappar aims to democratize AR through
free applications and simple SaaS models for brands who want to build AR
solutions. The company has partnered with Unilevel, Warner Bros. and Axa, and
has worked with many influential brands such as Coca Cola and Sony. Zappar
ZapWorks platform allows marketers, designers, and developers to create an
interactive experience accessed by scanning zapcodes through cellphones.
Zapcodes can change products, package, and passive printing to multimedia
channels that drive involvement and open value for brands. At Augmented World
Expo 2017, Zapworks is named the best author and publishing tool.
In 2019, Caspar Thykier CEO hopes to see the adoption of
larger consumers and richer Mold Mold experience, and has promised 'some
interesting announcements for the next year, we hope to see what might happen.
5) Sapizon - augmented
reality application development company
After seven years of promise, Augmented Reality Pioneer
Mehul entered the administration in 2015. However, at the beginning of this
year, Mehul enrolled a new AR company called Augmented Reality in Sapizon. We
know it is one of the best for virtual reality too.
